This section provides advice for identifying Psychological Tests & Measures. These are not intended to provide full access, but only to provide you with options for identifying specific types of assessments for review in our databases.
Another source of psychological tests can be within validation studies. Some validation studies include a copy of the test which they are validating.
Note: some validation studies contain all of the information about a test, but it is not in a convenient form all on one page. You may need to reconstruct the form yourself based on the questions described in the text. Also, some validation studies do not contain a copy of the test in any format - some may describe where you can find the test, and some may not give any location information at all. It's always worth a try, anyway.
To find validation studies, here are some tags available in biomedical and psychological databases.
Whichever database you choose, be sure to use the Advanced Search so that you can put the tags into the first search bar and the name of your psychological test into the second search bar.
If you don't know the name of a specific psychological test, and you're trying to find out which tests exist, you could type instead the name of the disorder, disease, condition, or symptom of interest.
