What is Document Delivery?

Document delivery is a service that provides individuals or organizations with access to specific documents or information from a library, archive, or database. It typically involves requesting, locating, and delivering documents such as research papers, articles, or books in various formats to meet the user's informational needs. The YU Library provides this service to all students, staff, and faculty.

Making a Document Delivery Request

Before Making your Document Delivery Request, Please Note the Following:

  1. Document Delivery is requested for articles or book chapters "not" available in our collection or online for free.
  2. The request must be associated with a legitimate purpose (e.g., assignment, major project or thesis work, etc.).
  3. Requests are managed in the order requested, but you can indicate the deadline by which you'll require the resource.
  4. Due to copyright restrictions, you are not permitted to share your requested document with others.
  5. Due to copyright restrictions, the library cannot provide you with more than 10% of a book's overall content.
  6. The Library cannot guarantee that we can obtain the requested resource as some requests are not available in our network of contributing libraries.
