Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology: Diagnostic Manuals

Key resource supports for MACP students.

DSM-5

DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders)

Although our institution does not require the purchase of the DSM (nor do we have an online accessible copy), it will be a topic for discussion and research in some of your courses.  You can search our library for peer-reviewed journal articles including the term DSM. In addition, here are some links to DSM information.

Please note that circulating illegally-procured copies of the DSM is a breach of the Student Code of Conduct, as the DSM is under copyright.

The current version of the DSM is the DSM-5-TR.

If you would like to read just one section of the DSM-5-TR, you may wish to place a Document Delivery Request. If you have a full citation, with page numbers, for the section of interest, be sure to paste it into the form. If you don't, be sure to indicate the name of the disorder or condition which you would like to read about. Please note: you can only request one section, so be sure to choose the disorder/condition of highest importance.
